Honolulu Furniture Company

Hawaii’s vast tropical terrain not only offers endless beauty, but it also serves as a source for sustainable building materials. Honolulu Furniture Company takes advantage of this fact and uses those materials to design customized pieces for your home or commercial space. Owner Thorben Wuttke has a passion for building one-of-a-kind custom furniture, which lead to the establishment of his company in 2009. Every piece is made-to-order and often uses local woods, such as monkey pod, mango, koa wood or others. Once you have an idea in mind, Thorben will create a visionary piece to fit your style and taste, whether you’re looking for a new dining table, desk, or coffee table and more. He also create commercial furniture such as shelving, tables etc. for boutiques, bars, restaurants, and more. Honolulu Furniture Company boasts creative craft and innovative solutions. He’s committed to performing their work at highest level of quality.

Thorben began his road to master craftsman in 1996 at the age of 16 as a furniture apprentice in his home country of Germany. Three years later, he graduated furniture school and pursued professional positions as a journeyman, where he refined his skills. His move to Hawaii in 2004 reinforced his ambition to create furniture from salvaged materials. In 2009 he founded “Wuttke Werks”, which focused on utilizing materials from deconstructed homes across Oahu which turned into Honolulu Furniture Company in 2011.
